It is like the memory of the human mind. It is used to supply data and ways. <\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">A memory card or memory cartridge is an electronic storage device used to store digital data. <\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">It is commonly used in portable electronic devices such as digital cameras, mobile phones, <a href=\"https:\/\/blogacademy.tech\/en\/what-are-laptops-used-for\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">laptops<\/a>, computers, tablets, portable media players, video game consoles, PDAs, electronic keyboards, synthesisers, and digital pianos.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">It is basically also called conserved nanotechnology. All data is stored in digital form in computer memory. Users can retrieve the saved data anytime they need.<\/span><\/p>\n<h2><b>What are the types of computer memory?<\/b><\/h2>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">There are three types of computer memory:<\/span><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Primary<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Secondary<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">cache\u00a0<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h3><b>Primary memory\u00a0<\/b><\/h3>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"wp-image-2023 size-full\" title=\"Primary memory\" src=\"https:\/\/blogacademy.tech\/en\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/12\/Primary-memory-.jpg\" alt=\"Primary memory\u00a0\" width=\"1000\" height=\"720\" srcset=\"https:\/\/blogacademy.tech\/en\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/12\/Primary-memory-.jpg 1000w, https:\/\/blogacademy.tech\/en\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/12\/Primary-memory--300x216.jpg 300w, https:\/\/blogacademy.tech\/en\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/12\/Primary-memory--768x553.jpg 768w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 1000px) 100vw, 1000px\" \/><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Primary memory contains only the information and instructions that the PC is currently working on. It has a limited range, and information is lost when the force is turned off. It usually consists of semiconductor gadgets. These recoveries are not as fast as articles.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The guidelines and basics needed to prepare information to live in memory. It is separated into two subcategories.<\/span><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">RAM<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">ROM<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h4><b>RAM ( Random Access Memory)<\/b><\/h4>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">A form of computer data storage that currently stores data and machine code. This allows device data items to be read or written to almost the same extent regardless of the actual location of the data in the internal memory.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">There are two types of RAM, namely:<\/span><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">SRAM<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">DRAM<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><b>SRAM:<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> SRAM is a flip-flop memory with a logic circuit of transistors. It can again be divided into s-r flip-flop, jk-flip-flop, D-flip-flop, t-flip-flop, etc.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><b>DRAM: <\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">DRAM is memory made by the principle of energy storage in capacitors. They basically act as bit memories.<\/span><\/p>\n<h4><b>ROM (Read Only Memory)<\/b><\/h4>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Only Memory (ROM) is a non-volatile memory used in computers and other electronic devices. It is slower than the original principle. They are used to discard information\/data forever. <\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The computer processor does not receive these recollections directly but rather acquires them through an information acquisition schedule. For example, discs, CD-ROMs, DVDs, and more.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Secondary memory can be further divided into two parts depending on the main computer. Namely:<\/span><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">permanent<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">portable<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h4><b>Permanent memory<\/b><\/h4>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Hard drives and SSD drives are included in this memory. It can be opened, but it has to be connected to the computer all the time. <\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">All the files of the modern computer operating system are stored in this memory. When the computer is turned on, the necessary operating system files go from the hard drive to the main memory, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.avast.com\/c-what-is-ram-memory\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\">RAM<\/a>. This hard disk stores data through magnetic disks. Since an HDD hard disk consists of mechanical and magnetic disks, it is more likely to get lost. HDD hard disks up to 8 terabytes are currently available.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><b>SSD: <\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">SSD is an improved version of computer memory. <a href=\"https:\/\/www.techtarget.com\/searchstorage\/definition\/SSD-solid-state-drive\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\">SSD<\/a> is the full form of solid state drive; it is a flash-based technology. SSD has a much higher read-write speed than HDD.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">There are many advantages of using SSD, as it works fast and the data does not get lost for a long time. All computers now use SSDs as a result of falling prices. SSD will eventually take the place of the HDD.<\/span><\/p>\n<h4><b>Portable memory<\/b><\/h4>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">It can be opened at any time, even when the computer is on. This type of memory is mainly used for storing and transporting personal files. <\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">This includes any removable memory, such as a portable hard drive, pen drive, or flash drive. Cache memory is also called CPU memory. <\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Computer speed depends on cache memory. It works much like RAM. Data is stored in cache memory when the processor performs a task. It is used to store commands and small amounts of data sent to the <a href=\"https:\/\/blogacademy.tech\/en\/what-is-input-device-in-computer\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">computer<\/a>.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Cache memory is a very fast semiconductor memory that can accelerate the CPU. It acts as a buffer between the CPU and policy memory.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> It is used to hold the data and program pieces that are frequently used by the CPU. It is used in various units of measurement, such as bits, bytes, kilobytes, megabytes, gigabytes, etc. Memory capacity is the capacity to hold computer binary digits.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The smallest unit of data storage capacity is the kilobyte, expressed as kb. Current hard disk storage capacity ranges from 1024 gigabytes to terabytes.
